Brunello di Montalcino
Brunello make up some of the most sought after and collected wines in the world. This is the ‘Super Star Appellation’ of Tuscany. Brunello makes up one of the five wine appellations of Europe that’s starts with the letter ‘B’. The others are Bordeaux; Burgundy, Barolo and Barbaresco and the wines they make are the finest wines made in Europe today. Brunello are famous for their power and finesse. For their richness and opulence they show a superb elegance and depth. Lovers of big reds are huge fans of Brunello and no cellar is complete without Brunello representation. The grape is a strain of Sangiovese called Sangiovese Grosso that is a smaller grape with a thicker skin which tends to make a wine that has more concentration and more structure allowing to age better.
