This is tight lithe and elegant: a composed and dignified Merlot with only the faintest initial glimpse of anything resembling mellow. It smells comforting at first but as the drinker delves the bouquet unveils mossy damp forest earth and then fresher leafy greens emerge with their tannins.

Our Yountville Vineyard forms the heart of our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with our Rutherford and Calistoga vineyards rounding out the blend. To boost complexity we rely on a traditional Bordeaux blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with a dash of Petit Verdot Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Vivid ripe and intense with a range of black and red fruit flavors. A barrel-selected blend from three of the best old vine Cabernet vineyards in Washington. Dark chocolate and subtle spice nuances extend through the finish – wild raspberry and a hint of blackcurrant. Drinking beautifully now.
The colour is garnet-red with ruby thighlights that take on a slightly to range tone over time. It has a clear-cut intense nose with overtones of vanilla spices withered roses and underbrush. The taste is dry but soft full-bodied velvety and well balanced and is very long-lasting.
