2018 Trimbach Gewurztraminer
2018 Trimbach Gewurztraminer Bright pale gold with aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, lychee and rose petals. Rich, intense, luscious and well balanced with a dry, spicy finish.
Maison Trimbach’s viticultural origins date back to 1626, and since then, twelve generations of rigorous winemakers and Ambassadors devoted to the passion for Alsace wines have constantly distinguished themselves by the quality and authenticity of their wines, to patiently develop, from father to son, a solid reputation. The 13th generation joined the estate a few years ago. Discover the history of Maison Trimbach.
92 Wine Enthusiast: Both flinty reduction and rose notes play on the nose. The palate comes in with concentration and a pithy, phenolic texture that lends structure and backbone to this rich, rounded, almost oily but dry wine. Pleasant citrus-pith bitterness sits well with the bold, warm but dry generosity. It’s best to let this come into its own. Drink 2025–2035.
