Cabernet Sauvignon
Intense and brooding aromatics with layers upon layers. Blackberry, plum, mocha, graphite, fresh herb and hints of leather and forest floor. The palate is powerful and elegant at the same time, and builds to a long finish framed by ample tannins.
Explosive aromas, leading with fresh blackberries and dried, savory herbs. Hints of anise, clove and crushed stone. Dense and chewy on the palate, with an expansive entry that crescendos through the long finish of lingering, fine grain tannins.
Our Napa Valley Chardonnay is smooth and elegantly balanced. Aromas of caramel and buttered croissant lead to beautifully integrated layers of Bosc pear yellow apple and Meyer lemon. The indulgent velvety mouthfeel gives way to sparkling acidity that lingers on the finish.
This pale yellow Chardonnay offers delightful floral aromas of honeysuckle daphne and orange blossom with hints of pastry and Jordan almonds. The palate exhibits hints of citrus and stone fruit orange marmalade and touches of toasted almond and caramel. Crisp acidity balances the fruit of this complex focused wine over a bright finish.
Deep flavors of rhubarb and cola over undertones of juicy plum and plush raspberry characterize the earth-driven profile of the 2019. This has the same deep color as the previous wines. Quite uniform a little riper on the nose than the first two wines and on the palate too a little more ripeness. Good Pinot character with dark chocolate mint along with some smoke and tobacco. There is a bit of tannin on the finish.
Grape Variety : Pinot Noir. Character : Well rounded quaffable. A fine wine and one of satenay’s best known. Good keeping potential 5-10 years or even longer.
