The Clos Margalaine Margaux 2015 is the second wine of Chateau Marojallia, produced from the property’s younger vines as well as heavier infusion of merlot to provide greater accessibility. It ages in 50% new oak with the balance older barrels and stainless steel so as to not overpower the fruit here. It’s a beautiful wine for the money,
James Suckling wrote, “Aromas of blackcurrants and spices with blueberry undertones. Full body and round and juicy tannins. Layered and very pretty. Gorgeous texture. Needs two or three years to come around. A beauty. 93 points.”
