Fresh Shipment Is Here! Made by Romaine Ott, previous Winemaker at Domaine Ott. As Good as Domaine Ott at Almost Half the Price! The Height Of Summer Sophistication. As Good As Rose Gets!
Our #1 selling Rose has finally arrived in port and we will begin shipping next week. This is the Rose that everyone wants, what we refer to as “Pink Gold,” and what the rich and famous will be drinking this Summer along the French Riviera. We have received an early allocation and the moment you finish reading this email, the wine will be sold out. If you love Rose, there are two names you may know: Domaine Ott and Domaine Tempier. These are the benchmark producers of Rose that are sought after and consumed more than any other. There is a third name to be added to that list that you may not have heard before: Chateau Leoube. The vineyards of Chateau Léoube make up some of the most expensive real estate in the world. The vineyards are ocean front property (see picture) on one side is a nature reserve and on the other side of the most sought after beach front property on the planet. The French President summers a few doors down and the famous Clos Mireille vineyard of Domaine Ott sits right next door.
Léoube is owned by British industrialist Lord Anthony Bamford, bought the vineyard and winery as a gift for his wife. It is in the heart of St. Tropez and right on the water of the French Riviera. It has become the local favorite with the rich and the famous who come in off their boats just to grab their wine supply from Leoube. Chateau Leoube 2021 “Rose de Leoube” is one of the greatest roses you will ever taste for the money and immediately sells out the moment we get our hands on it. Intoxicating aromatics, fresh, vibrant fruit, and the most gorgeously tapered backend. The Wine scored 91 points from WE, an accolade that few roses around the $30 mark achieve.
Bamford managed to hire Provence’s maestro of Rose, the famous Romaine Ott, to make all of his wine. If that name sounds familiar, it should. He is the ex-winemaker of the famous Domaine Ott, the benchmark of Rose. Romaine had been quietly making wine for the Bamfords for years, and once Domaine Ott was sold, he started making wine exclusively for Chateau Leoube. The young man is a genius, innovative and charismatic and anything he touches turns into a masterpiece. Only 100 Cases are made of this a year and we sell out overnight. Now is the time to stock up for the summer! Cheers!
