2019 Joseph Faiveley Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Pruliers
2019 Joseph Faiveley Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Pruliers This 2019 wine has a medium minus intensity. Caramel, raspberry, blackberries, boysenberry, cheese, pencil shavings, and underbrush. Lacks intensity and complexity in my opinion. Quite dark, blue/red. Not the typical colour to my experience. Mouthfeel: Dry. Residual sugar content equals 1 gram per litre. ABV is 14,5% which is very evident on the palate.
The field Faiveley is installed in Burgundy for over 200 years. It is a family story that begins in 1825 with Pierre Faiveley and is written today with Ève and Erwan Faiveley , both representing the seventh generation with the same niche: tradition and modernity. The estate is managed in reasoned viticulture with mainly organic inputs and natural fertilizers. A High Environmental Value (HVE) certification is in progress.
The estate, located in Nuits-Saint-Georges , operates 120 hectares of vines throughout Burgundy, in Chablis, Mercurey, Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet but it is above all in its stronghold, in the Côte de Nuits , that the estate has the majority of its plots. Faiveley produces more than ten Grands Crus, in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir , located in Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits : Bâtard-Montrachet, Corton Charlemagne, Clos de Vougeot, Latricières-Chambertin, Clos Saint-Denis … only very great Burgundy wines from prestigious terroirs, recognized as World Heritage by Unesco.
