2019 Beckmen Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon
2019 Beckmen Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon The greatest SYV Cabernet we have yet to produce, the 2018 balances its power and intensity with great texture and structure. Loaded and complex with aromas and flavors of cherry, cassis, roasted herbs, chocolate, vanilla, and earth, the 2019 has amazing balance and length, with great acidity and very ripe smooth tannins. A knockout! Winemaker
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (Santa Ynez Valley) is rich and explosive out of the glass. Inky dark fruit, grilled herbs, leather, licorice and a host of earthy notes flesh out in an expansive wine endowed with tremendous depth and complexity. This is such a gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon. (AG) Galloni Vinous 94pts
Galloni describes the 2019 Beckmen Cabernet as a wine that has tremendous depth and complexity and that this a is a gorgeous Cabernet. These kind of superlatives are normally saved for Cult Cabs from Napa. Wines that sell for big money $100, $200, $300 plus a bottle. The Beckmen Cabernet is under $30 a bottle and a great new recommendation for us. Killer Cab at a killer price.
Tom and Judy Beckmen made their fortune as pioneers of electronic musical instruments as founders of Roland keyboards and synthesizers. They have established themselves with their two sons Jeff and Steve in Santa Barbara as leaders making wines of critical acclaim. They are famous for their Rhone varietal wines specifically Syrah from Purisma Mountain Vineyard and over the years they have also found that their estate vineyard with its well-drained, gravelly soils to be the perfect host to Cabernet Sauvignon.
They have absolutely nailed it with their 2019 Cabernet. 2019 was a great vintage throughout California and this is the greatest Cabernet they have made to date. The wine has a great balance of power and finesse, depth and complexity normally found in wines that are far more expensive. An absolute knock-out Cabernet at the price. Enjoy!
