2018 Monticello Jefferson Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon: In keeping with previous vintages, this 100% estate grown Jefferson Cuvée Cabernet Sauvignon is another superb representation of classic Napa Cabernet. Indeed, its dark fruit flavors, healthy oak influence, velvety tannins, and round mouthfeel all personify what you might expect in such a wine. The result is a ripe vibrant wine that is quite approachable now, but also worthy of 10+ years of aging.
Winemaker Notes
The Corley Family has been producing Cabernet Sauvignon since 1980. They farm five vineyards in the Oak Knoll District, Yountville, Rutherford, and St Helena sub-appellations of Napa Valley. This affords them the opportunity to blend wines that embody the complexity of Napa Valley and produce Cabernet Sauvignons with wonderfully rich and complex aromas, vibrant red and dark berry fruit flavors, and full, rich, and lingering finishes. Their experience, access to their estate grown Cabernet Franc and Merlot, and the deft hand of winemaker, Chris Corley, yields Cabernet Sauvignons that balance fruit, tannins and oak in wines that are approachable today and worthy of cellaring for a tomorrow that is well into the future.

When our father Jay Corley began searching for the sites he wanted to grow wine, he recognized that the best wines in the country were grown in Napa Valley. His personal passion for Burgundian-style wines led him to plant Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in what is now known as the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley in 1970.
