This is one of the best red wines I have ever tasted. The wine hails from Le Macchiole one of the standard-bearers for world class Super Tuscans from Bolgheri that includes Sassicaia, Ornellaia and Guado Al Taso. Le Macchiole is one of the most collected wines in the world, some of the richest, purest fruit, silky tannins and greatest finishes big red wine can achieve. The wine I offer today is considered by many to one of the greatest Cabernet Franc’s ever made. The 2018 La Macchiole Paleo Rosso is a legendary wine! This wine absolutely hurt me it was so good. Gloriously rich, yet mind numbingly elegant and supple. Soars to huge heights, yet smooth and as light as a feather. Absolutely awesome. Once in a long while I taste a wine that’s just head and shoulders above all the others.

The wine is made by the hottest consulting oenologist in Tuscany Luca D’Attoma who also makes Super Stars like Tua Rita and Le Pupille. The 2018 Paleo Rosso will be one of the greatest red wines you will ever get to experience. It is one of the richest, most opulent, absolute cashmere red wines I can remember. The fruit is so clean and pure that it takes your palate to places they have never gone before. I know I am over-doing the hyperbole but I must tell this wine is that good. I have been doing this for about 25 years now and after all that time when a wine moves me like this wine did, I am telling you it is incredible.
