2018 Lancaster Estate Winemaker’s Cuvee
2018 Lancaster Estate Winemaker’s Cuvee This 2018 wine delivers the epitome of complexity and depth. The combination of warm climate and alluvial and gravelly loam soil found on our estate is ideal for creating balanced wines of concentration and richness. Dark purple in the glass, this wine opens with aromas of indulgent, dark berry fruit with savory undertones and notes of toasted oak. The palate is full bodied with multi-layered flavors of black cherry, currant, tobacco and graphite. Blend: 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, 1% Malbec, 1% Petit Verdot
Lancaster Estate’s 53-acres of vineyards are born from the rich, volcanic soils and rolling hillsides of Alexander Valley. It is the great diversity of soil along with the cool evenings and sun-drenched days that create ideal growing conditions for Bordeaux varietals. At Lancaster Estate, we are dedicated to growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc with the explicit intention of producing the most authentic expression possible.
