2017 Villa Monsignore Barolo
2017 Villa Monsignore Barolo This 2017 wine features a cherry punch on the nose. Hint of vanilla, but hiding behind the fruits. Decanted and was well worth it. Tannins still have a slight kick, but still smooth and went well with the pastas. Cherry continued on the palate, not the secondary nor tertiary flavors I thought we’d see. Leather, earth and dark cherry on the nose. Tart cherry, blackberries, leather and plum flavors.
The company was originally established and is still deeply rooted in Piedmont region, where everything recalls wine scents, with indelible traces of a centuries old winemaking heritage that has moulded the heart and soul of one of the most charming and evocative landscapes in Italy.
