2015 Disznoko Tokaji Aszu 6 Puttonyos 500ml; Tokaj, Hungary
Disznókő Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos is a single vineyard wine from the Kapi plot. The Furmint is grown on a terroir with a volcanic, lighter clay soil containing gravels. The grapes ripen late and easily become aszú berries, retaining excellent acidity. The wine is ready to drink but can age for 20 years or more in cellar. It is enjoyed cool and retains its freshness for at least a few weeks in the fridge after opening.
Tasting notes; Bright, deep golden colour. Apricot, spices, vanilla and fine botrytis nose. Soft attack, then very fresh, long acidity, perfectly balanced, classic Tokaj taste. Simply sublime.
