2015 Conti Costanti Brunello Di Montalcino Riserva
2015 Conti Costanti Brunello Di Montalcino Riserva Aromas of ripe dark-skinned fruit, forest floor, rose and wild mint shape the enticing nose. Elegantly structured and full of flavor, the linear, focused palate delivers mature Marasca cherry, blood orange, licorice and tobacco set against a backbone of refined tannins.
It was 1983 when the very young Andrea Costanti entered Colle al Matrichese, inheriting a weight and a considerable responsibility in what was then one of the very few brands of absolute value in Montalcino.
In the decades that have followed, we have witnessed an increasingly confident expression of a total harmony, as a congenial complementarity, between the characteristics of the territory and therefore of the Brunello of these particular vineyards and the sensitivity to wine and the overall aesthetic idea of Andrea Constants.
The more one has aimed at elegance, at the expression of olfactory beauty, widening the aromatic range of wines as much as possible, the more the vineyards with an altitude that exceeds 400 meters and the consequent strong thermal excursion have repaid by enriching itself in perfumes.
The more this young producer has aimed at long-lived and complex wines, consequently not immediate and not easy, also feeling a great respect for the Brunello tradition, but also making continuous forward-looking innovations, such as the age of the vines, their particular biotypes , the absolute components of the soil have supported it in depth of content, in length and quality of persistence.
With authentic wines and in themselves, which go beyond the ease and ephemeral of fashions.
